Sunday Club
Welcome to Sunday Club at St. John the Baptist Church. As part of the regular Parish Sunday Worship and while the adults and parents worship we teach children in an active and interactive way about the life and work of Jesus in three groups:
- 4 to 6 years,
- 7 to 9 years and
- 10 years to confirmation age.

We are fortunate to have a number of volunteer leaders and helpers to take our groups. Their work is of great value to the children and the Sunday Club. We work from Living Stones, a publication that follows the church year.
Sunday Club enjoy the Sunday School Society Fun Day at King’s Hospital.
Sunday Club occasionally takes time to work on a project during the year. This Christmas we took part in our ‘Crib and Carol Service’. Everyone either did a reading and/or put something in the Crib as well as singing some Carols. Other years we have done a play or one sort or another.
The children are also encouraged to participate in the parish monthly All-Age Service, Sunday School Society Fun Day and Sunday School Society Brainarama. We do arts and crafts activities to decorate our church for special occasions and services. At the All-Age Service children say prayers, do readings, and take up the collection.
In the summer we conclude the Sunday Club at the end of May with an outing. Last year, we went to Newbridge Farm and playground and ended the day with a picnic in the grounds. We had a great time.
